The first week of teaching and fellowship kicked off with twelve of us gathered together, worshipping the Lord first with Bethany and then delving into 1 Peter chapters 1 and 2. We talked about the importance of hope, being called to be Holy, building upon the cornerstone, and submission to authority.  If you missed it, we've got the study questions here for you!

Come join us this coming Monday for more on 1 Peter in chapters 3-5 and a time of small group discussion. See you soon! Oh, and if you know a mom with kids, bring them along so we can love on those kids as well!

-A Summer to Remember 2015-

Study questions for  1 Peter 1 and 2

1 Peter 1:1-12
Where does your hope come from?

What does “a living hope” mean to you?

Has Jesus rescued you from trials in the past?

Did you greatly rejoice during the trials?

What would you do differently if you had to relive that trial?

What trials are you currently facing? What brings you hope for the future?

1 Peter 1:13-25
Define “holy”:

Has God called you to be holy or set apart in certain ways?
If so, does it bother you to see other people do what you’ve been called not to do?

Have you been called to love others?

1 Peter 2:1-10
How can one grow up in their salvation?

What kind of house is built with living stones?

Have you offered a “spiritual sacrifice” to God lately?

Define “cornerstone”:

How does this definition relate to Christ?

1 Peter 2:11-25
How should we live among those that don’t believe?

Are we to submit to authority at all times?

What if we are unjustly punished?
